Dr. Ghosh has been a Fellow of the Indian Chemical Society since 1989 and served as Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, London from 1995. He was a recipient of the UDYOG BANDHU AWARD 1996-97 from Chamber of Indian Trade & Industry for outstanding contribution in the development of Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Industry and Biotechnology Industry in India.

Dr. Ghosh was Director of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India (May 1987 to June 1995) and acted as Advisor to Department of Biotechnology, Government of India (July 1995 to May 2002).

He participated in several meetings as a Member of the Bureau of Inter-Governmental Committee for the Cartagena Protocol (2000) and played a leadership role for the creation of the Product and Industry Development (PID) division of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) to promote the setting up of biotech industries in India.

Dr. Ghosh was a Member of the Research Advisory Council of the CSIR Center for Biochemicals, Government of India, from March 1988 to December 1997.

He published more than 70 papers on various topics on Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology and authored three books relating to Biotechnology.

Dr. Syed E. Hasnain, obtained his Ph.D. from Nehru University, New Delhi. He was awarded the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research Fellow Award to work at the Department of Medicine. He has been nominated by the Prime Minister of India for Membership in the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (SAC-PM), the highest decision and policy making body for Science & Technology for the country. He is the recipient of several national and international awards which include the G D Birla Award and Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize among many others. He was one of the youngest to be elected to the Fellowship of the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) which is a prestigious Academy based in Trieste, Italy.

Dr. Hasnain has been associated with the Editorial Board of several peer reviewed journals in India and abroad. He has also been associated with the Board of Governors/Scientific Advisory Committee/Academic Council of several National Institutes.

Dr. Hasnain has authored more than 155 original research papers and several book chapters.

Dr. Hasnain is currently the Director-In-Charge, Center for DNA Fingerprinting & Diagnostics (CDFD). CDFD is one of the most prestigious research Institutes in India with a large number of industrial collaborations on developing new technologies in Molecular Biology and Bio-Informatics.

He has authored 3 books relating to the Biotech industry.

Dr. Balasubramanian is the Ex-Director of the Center for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CCMB). CCMB is a highly prestigious institute in India with post-doctoral educational and research facilities. He is currently the Chairman-Biotechnology Advisory Council, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

He has published over 300 popular articles and 6 books, and is currently working with governments and agencies on issues of Science and Technology.

Dr. Balasubramanian has been conferred the "Padma Shri": National honour by the President of India, 2002 and "Chevalier de l'Ordre National de Merite": National honour by the President of France, 2002. Apart from these, he has received several highly prestigious awards within and outside India.

Dr. Diwan is the Deputy Director and Head of the Pharmacology division , Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad. Dr. Diwan has been involved in developing several new delivery technologies for various pharmaceutical drugs. He has published books on Pharmacology and Drug Safety as well as a large number of papers in several reputed research journals. Dr. Diwan is in charge of a large animal house facility complying with international standards.

Dr. Vijayan has more than 20 years of multifaceted experience in Biotechnology. He possesses a rare blend of expertise in both R & D and manufacturing of Biopharmaceuticals, Biologicals and rDNA therapeutics. He has experience in technology transfers and regulatory affairs.
