Dr. Rao was a medical practitioner in the UK for almost 20 years, where he was involved in clinical research and was also a highly successful businessman. He founded 3 separate businesses during his time in England, each of which was subsequently sold for a substantial profit. In recognition of his achievements, Dr. Rao was awarded Membership of the British Institute of Management and was appointed a Tribunal Member in 1985 by the Lord Chancellor. The Tribunal is an apex body for the whole of the United Kingdom, and its purpose is to look after the interest and standards of all registered nursing homes in the UK. Dr Rao then went on to start Transgene Biotek, where his acute knowledge has helped him to identify lab-scale technologies that can be commercially scaled up, and are important for bettering the lives of millions of people. |
